Abstract

This paper explores the multifaceted nature of interdisciplinary approaches within project-based learning (PBL) in educational settings. Project-based learning is a pedagogical method that emphasizes hands-on, collaborative, and inquiry-driven activities, where students engage in solving real-world problems through the integration of various disciplines. The primary objective of this study is to analyze the benefits and challenges of employing interdisciplinary PBL in teaching and learning processes. By examining case studies and literature reviews, the paper highlights the role of interdisciplinary collaboration in fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and cross-disciplinary communication. It also discusses the importance of teacher training, resource allocation, and curriculum design in the successful implementation of interdisciplinary PBL. Furthermore, the paper evaluates the impact of interdisciplinary PBL on student engagement, motivation, and academic performance. The findings suggest that interdisciplinary PBL can significantly enhance the quality of education by promoting a holistic understanding of complex issues and preparing students for the challenges of the 21st-century workplace.
