Abstract

This paper explores the intersection of language acquisition and technology-enhanced learning, examining how technological advancements have shaped contemporary approaches to language education. The use of technology in language learning environments has become increasingly prevalent, offering new methods and tools that aim to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of language acquisition processes. The paper discusses various technologies such as computer-assisted language learning (CALL), mobile learning, and virtual reality (VR) as they pertain to language teaching and learning. It critically evaluates the impact of these technologies on learners' engagement, motivation, and linguistic proficiency. Furthermore, the paper highlights the challenges and limitations of integrating technology into language education, such as issues of accessibility, cost, and training for educators. Through a comprehensive analysis of the literature and case studies, the paper concludes that while technology can significantly contribute to the development of language skills, it must be implemented thoughtfully and in combination with other educational strategies to maximize its potential benefits.
