Abstract

This paper explores the integration of mindfulness practices and social-emotional learning (SEL) in school settings. It argues that the combination of mindfulness and SEL can significantly enhance students' overall well-being and academic performance. The abstract delves into the theoretical foundations of mindfulness and SEL, highlighting their respective benefits. It then discusses the practical implementation of mindfulness-based programs in schools, examining the challenges and outcomes associated with such initiatives. The paper further investigates the impact of these programs on students' self-awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills. Findings suggest that by fostering a mindful environment, schools can empower students to develop a deeper understanding of their own emotions and those of others, leading to more positive social interactions and improved educational outcomes.
